Mike Eccleston

Owner | Home Inspector | Radon Measurement Technician

Mike has been a licensed home inspector for more than 8 years. His diligence and thorough investigation skills make him the inspector everyone requests. A tradesman at heart, Mike has extensive knowledge and experience in roofing, home repairs and general craftsmanship.

When you hire HIQ, LLC to perform your residential home inspection, you will get a well-articulated and comprehensive report that Mike has poured many hours into perfecting for the benefit of his clients.

Mike believes a home inspection provides an objective evaluation of the property in question including descriptions, conditions, and implications to assist you in making a quality decision on the purchase of your home. He prides himself on his timely responses to inquiries and believes that every homeowner should be well-informed about their purchase.

In addition to owning his own business, you will find Mike in the press box of his local high school football team during football season or coaching girls bowling during the winter months.

In his free time, Mike enjoys bowling (ask him about his 300!) and general home renovation work.

Tim Griest

Owner | Home Inspector | Radon Measurement Technician

Tim has been a licensed Home Inspector for more than 5 years. During that time, he has conducted over 500 inspections. Tim also serves as a Radon Measurement Technician. His has experience working with roofing, siding, painting, and flooring gives his clients the insight they are looking for. 

The home inspection is a way to teach his clients about their new home. At HIQ, we understand everyone’s time is important. Our goal is to be thorough and take the time our clients need to be comfortable with the home buying process. We will not be rushing off to the next inspection without making sure all our client’s questions have been answered.

Tim is a graduate of Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. In a previous life, he spent 13 years working investigations in private security before transitioning to the Environmental Health and Safety Field. Now he investigates houses instead of people or compliance violations.
